Initial level & reliability

When you first join Volley World App, you’ll start with an initial skill level. Your reliability score indicates how confident we are in your skill level. The more you play, the more reliable it becomes.

Reliability %

Reliability is crucial in determining how much your level changes after each match. Lower reliability means more changes, while higher reliability results in fewer changes.

2. How your level changes

Your level can go up or down based on several factors:

Match outcome
Whether you win or lose impacts your level.
Opponent’s level
The skill level of your opponent is taken into account.
Sets played
More sets provide more data, affecting your level more significantly.
Frequency of matchups
Playing against the same opponent multiple times also influences your level.

After each competitive match, tournament or league, our algorithm calculates how much to adjust your level, taking into account both teams’ average levels and reliability scores.
